MaVista is a new UK magazine devoted to great
photography.
We're looking for the best images to go in it.
Do you have a special image, a photo with a wow factor, a picture that makes
people stop and look?
If you have a great image that's not too arty, too abstract or x-rated then here's your chance to get published!
Not sure what we're looking for? Have a look at some page examples from Issue 1 and
Issue 2. Better still, order a copy for yourself and have a good look through.
That way you'll have a much clearer idea of the content - and your support will be greatly appreciated!
How to submit your pictures :
Only send the image if the image is your own and you own the copyright.
The image can have been taken with film or digital - but if the image looks too manipulated, that elements
have been added or things moved around then we're unlikely to use it. We want pictures that the reader
knows are real pictures of real events.
As MaVista contains images covering a wide variety of subjects, it's difficult to know what will catch the
editors eye. So if you have lots of images you'd like considered then no problem - send them all! There's no limit - the more the merrier!
That way we can select and group images from different photographers to create a theme or a feature.
Send them as low-res versions zipped or on CD and if selected we'll contact you for a hi-res version.
Hi-res specification : Filesize min 300k, max 15mb. Resolution min 300 dpi.
Format .jpg .eps .tif . We cannot use .gif files or images contained within Word documents or Powerpoint presentations.
When you submit an image to us you agree to grant MaVista Magazine a one-time royalty-free licence to publish the
image in a future issue of the magazine. You still own the copyright of the image. We will credit you on
each picture we use, include your web site details and will pass on to you any enquiries we receive for further use of the image.
Sorry, there's no money in it, just the pleasure of being published but we're confident you'll like the result. If we print your picture, we'll
send you a couple of copies of the magazine when it's published.
